Table Mountain the most iconic natural landmark in the world

So, does Table Mountain truly deserve the crown as the world’s most iconic natural landmark? In my opinion it is a wholehearted “Yes”. Until I have seen all the other destinations mentioned it will, of course, provoke debate. 

There are arguments to be made in favour of all the others mentioned. Readers may reward these other destinations with the crown. Isn’t it great that we all don’t share the same opinion? From what I have seen in pictures I can’t argue with the symmetrical beauty of Mount Fuji or the scale of the grand canyon. 

Table Mountain offers something unique to debate. A sanctuary of rare biodiversity that rises up out of a modern, bustling city centre. So often skyscrapers dominate a city skyline, but not here! 

This mountain offers a natural playground within the heart of a major metropolis. Apart from a failed visit to the summit, it gave much pleasure in admiring it from different parts of the city. As I see and write down these musings, it allows me to dream of a return visit and further explore this natural landmark.
